Hahndorf
Rifle Club 126th Annual Koenigschiessen (Kingship Shoot)
27 December 2008
On Saturday, December 27, 2008, the Hahndorf Rifle Club held its 126th Annual Koenigschiessen (Kingship Shoot).
A growing number of competitors from all around the state competed in the 200-yard aperture shoot in a bid to win the historic Kingship title.
The weather was ideal as Neville Jones, the 2007 King, fired the first shot of the competition.
After all competitors had fired their 12 scoring shots, two shooters were tied on 155 from a possible 156.
After a tense shoot-off between full-bore shooters Paul Salamon and Tim Anderson, Paul was crowned the new King of Hahndorf.
Steve Nicholas took out the Black Powder section with a score of 147.
